Strawberry Almond Cake with Strawberry Crumble

Strawberry Almond Cake with Strawberry Crumble

The wonder of early spring is captured in Strawberry Almond Cake with Strawberry Crumble. Freeze dried strawberries bring intensity of color and flavor to the decadent crumble topping. Almonds add depth and contrast to the voluptuous berry flavor.

Fresh Apple Spice Cake

Fresh Apple Cake

This is the best Fresh Apple Spice Cake I’ve had. The raisins wake up, growing big and fat in a soaking of warm rum, the huge pile of orange zest is the background spark of flavor and the traditional spices of apple season bring the comfort.

Walking our dog Fred in the rain, it was cold, windy and wet. Leaves are still falling from the neighborhood trees. It’s no mystery, all that blowing and swirling, floating to the ground. If you take the time, pause, you can watch them. The leaves don’t wait, when the time is right, they let go. And so it is with baking. Easy, scrumptious, all the components fall together, Orange Chocolate Chunk Cake is a grand way to begin the new year. READ MORE . . .
